Magic In London ⚯͛

How can I visit London without seeing a little magic?!? Everything Harry Potter was at the top of my list of things to do. As soon as I got to King’s Cross station, I immediately felt a burst of happiness!! Just being at King’s Cross was enough for me… but I got a surprising bonus when I discovered there was a store(!!) & of course I went shopping!! You couldn’t take away the happiness in me if you were a Dementor, Death Eater, or Lord Voldemort himself!

To do list…

  • King’s Cross Station
  • Platform 9¾ & store
  • Millennium Bridge
  • Have that special moment that no one could possibly understand
  • WB Studio Tour London: Harry Potter(no worries, I’ll be back)

Double Decker Bus & Beautiful Historical Architecture
Double Decker Bus & Beautiful Historical Architecture

What do I hate about London?? NOTHING!!

What do I love about London?? EVERYTHING!!

The people, the accent, the diversity, the city, the weather, the tube, the history, the architecture, the lifestyle!! Whenever you imagine something before you do it, it’s never exactly how you imagined it. For me, London is everything I ever imagined and more!! Nothing about this city disappointed me. I remember the first time I told my mother I was going to visit London, I was in 3rd grade & now I finally made it!! I already have plans to come back.

I was able to see and do almost everything I wanted in London. Like ride the London Eye, see the Tower of London, Tower bridge, watch a play at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, tour Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, explore Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben and the Parliament, buy something at Harrods, walk around Covent Garden, see St. Paul’s Cathedral, River Thames, walk over the Millennium Bridge, visit King’s Cross station, take pictures and marvel at Platform 9¾, tour the British Museum – The Rosetta Stone, see St. James park, the crown jewels, ride a double decker bus, eat fish & chips, watch the changing of the guards, take the tube, see where Anne Boleyn got her head cut off, meet a bobby (London police officer), talk to locals, and many other things!

I didn’t forget to take numerous pictures, enjoy myself or take in the whole experience!

Some of us even left with inside jokes such as… “Make Way” which is a street sign we saw on the road and something guards would yell out if people were in their way as they marched. My personal favorite… “Mind The Gap” we would hear right before getting on the tube (train) and in some stations it was written on the platform. We would randomly say these things to each other knowing we wouldn’t hear them again unless we came back for another visit & sometimes we would say things in an English accent the way it was said to us by the locals. When they spoke… it wasn’t just the accent that was appealing but also their charisma and mannerisms. It’s so intoxicating… I loved every moment!!
