This second week of studying in Salamanca has been fantastic. From exploring the city to trying to talk with the locals, it has been such an great experience! I was a bit nervous for my trip to Spain as I knew I wasn’t able to speak the language as well as my classmates but luckily everyone is very helpful and eager to learn as I am.
One of my favorite tours so far as been our trip to Segovia. Here we toured the Palace of Alcazar and the city of Segovia and saw the aqueducts as well! During our lunch break we were able to tour the city on our own which let us talk with locals if we wanted to buy souvenirs or barter with the sellers along the streets. After lunch we were brought to the top of the aqueducts which gave us a beautiful view of the whole city and the view beyond.
This trip has really opened my eyes to new cultures and experiencing how different people live. Getting to know my fellow classmates and learning with them has really made this study abroad experience better!
