unfold for you through personal meetings and enjoyment of their arts and culture in this program. Encounter Cuba through its

Belize Study AbroadSt. Petersburg College is providing an opportunity for students to meet the faculty leading the Belize Study Abroad program on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 on the Tarpon Springs campus in room NU 461 from 1pm-2pm. During this session you will be able to ask questions to help you find out if this is the right program for you.

Did you miss the $2,500 Belize Study Abroad Scholarship deadline? Good news! It has been extended until February 21, 2017!

Computers will be available during the event so that you can submit your study abroad application and your  $2,500 Belize Study Abroad Scholarship application, while receiving face-to-face assistance, if needed!

Not familiar with the Belize Study Abroad program? Here is a breakdown in a nutshell:

    • BSC 2362 Tropical Ecology taught by Professor Jim Wallis
    • CLP 2140 Abnormal Psychology taught by Professor Sara Brzezinski

Belize Study AbroadAre you ready to sign up today? You don’t have to wait until February 21 to apply! The application for the program and the scholarship are both found online.

As Professor Sara Brzezinski wrote in her blog post last fall, “The opportunities you will have to get a glimpse into the field of mental health are unlike any your classmates and colleagues at SPC and other institutions will experience.  Many individuals in graduate programs do not even have access to these types of experiences.  If you are planning on going into the field of psychology, medicine, social work, public health, etc., this is an excellent program for you!” (Click here to read her full post.)

On November 7, 2016 Casa Tina, a restaurant located at 365 Main St in Dunedin,  will be donating 20% of the restaurant’s revenue in support of the Gabe Cazares Memorial Scholarship at St. Petersburg College.

The Center for International Programs invites SPC students, faculty and staff to enter the International Photo Contest, held in conjunction with International Education Week.

How to enter:

  1. Review contest guidelines and rules
  2. Submit up to two photos you took while traveling outside the U.S. (Alaska, Hawaii and US territories do not count) on the Center for International Programs Facebook page.
  3. Submit photos no later than Monday, Oct. 24
Student Prizes:

  • First place – iPad Air
  • Second place – iPod Nano
  • Third place – iPod Shuffle
Faculty/staff Prizes:

  • First place – 1st place certificate
