This trip has been amazing and I loved the time we spent in Derry. The history there is so interesting and I loved learning how tweed jackets are made.
We finally made it to Belfast and I am exhausted, but in a good way. Our trip is almost over.
The Titanic Museum is a very unique museum to visit. The architecture of the building was very interesting. It was inspired by water crystals and ship bows and the plan was inspired by a compass rose of maritime maps. The museum itself is an interactive exhibition. You begin on the second floor and you learn the early history of the ship. Then you get into an old-fashioned elevator shaft up to the sixth floor and we learned how the ship was made. Another floor we saw replicas of the cabins for the different classes and a map that shows the route the Titanic was supposed to take. There was also a small replica of the restaurant that was on the ship. In the basement of the museum we saw the all of the telegrams that warned the ship of the icebergs. We saw pictures of the people that helped people off the ship and died and pictures of the crew that went down with the ship. I definitely recommend going to the Titanic Museum, it was the highlight of my trip to Ireland.
