National TWO DOLLAR CHALLENGE
April 6th – 10th, 2015
It’s time to rethink everything you think you know about the end of global poverty…
No one person can solve the problem of global poverty, but a nation in motion is a step in the right direction.
The Two Dollar Challenge is a grassroots movement looking to transform students’ perceptions about poverty, but they need support to spread the word. Their goal is to open a meaningful nation-wide conversation about global poverty and foreign aid. Finding solutions that truly work will require radical new ways of thinking about the problem. By asking you to live on $2 a day, they hope to push you outside your comfort zone to critically engage with, and empathetically reevaluate global poverty and your role in its end. “We may never truly understand poverty. But, we can revolutionize the way you think about it.”
