Today marks the second day of our amazing adventure in Greece. We had the privilege of taking a guided tour around the island, beginning with the beautiful Savvas monastery and concluding with a meeting and a meal with the bishop of Kalymnos. Along the way, one of our fellow study abroad students, had the blessing of meeting a relative whom she had never before met, her maternal second cousin.
The town of Pothia has a population of about 11,000 people. The probability of finding one person among 11,000 people is approximately 0.83%. The probability of her reunion with her cousin was highly unlikely, but with the help of our friendly tour guide, she was able to identify her cousin and will have the opportunity meet her extended family.
Congratulations to her!
