In December, Ramona RW Kirsch, the director of SPC’s International Programs, participated in an Educational Trade Mission to Central America sponsored by the US Department of Commerce.
Representing SPC as well as the Florida Consortium for International Education, Kirsch participated in meetings with Educational Institutions and Organizations in Nicaragua and El Salvador interested in collaborating with US Community Colleges. Kirsch was also able to meet the US Ambassadors of each country and learn first-hand what the US Educational initiatives were in both Nicaragua and El Salvador.
Kirsch is currently working to create a partnership in each of these important Central American countries.
