Costa Rica Study Abroad gives students firsthand experience with doing business in Latin American countries.
The course will emphasize the study of intercultural differences between the United States and Costa Rica as a valid representation of Latin American countries.
This will be a four-week program with 11 days of travel in Costa Rica.
Business in Latin America course overview
The Costa Rica Study Abroad Program is designed to have students earn college credits by completing Intercultural Relations in Business (MAN 2604), Survey of International Business (GEB 2350) or Managing Cultural Diversity (MAN4102) while studying in Costa Rica.
In addition to regular classes on campus, students will spend 11 days in Costa Rica where they will visit and study at “Instituto Centroamericano de Administracion the Empresas” (Central American Institute of Business Administration), also known as INCAE. INCAE is ranked as one of the top business schools in Latin America.
The country’s Chambers of Commerce and multinational companies will be used as field-based settings to accomplish the learning objectives for the class.
