We left Cairns for a tour of the coastline of Northern Australia particularly where the Daintree rain forest meets the coast.  We were very fortunate to get George, an endogenous driver as our guide.  He added so much of his history to the tour and he was not shy in sharing!  We made our way from Cairns to Port Douglas to Daintree to Cape Tribulation.  The pictures here are of a tropical fern fiddle head just emerging, a tropical rain forest tree with an outstanding base and root system and our friend George in front of a picture of his grandfather with his brass chest plate on.  There is a cool story that goes with it.
