The St. Petersburg College Clearwater International Club welcomes the New Year with their first club meeting of the semester. The meeting took place on January 27th. This spring semester, the club has a lot in store for its members. Club President Skyy Everhart facilitated the meeting, starting with a recap of the fall semester, and some milestones the club has achieved.
The meeting presented many possible trip destinations for the club, such as the Leepa-Rattner Museum, Dali Museum, Manatee Viewing Center, etc. There was also a discussion about hosting an event for this year’s International Education Week.
Other topics that were discussed: a fundraiser to send T-shirts to Mali, recognition of all who participated to the club’s civic engagement, and upcoming ESL Conversation Partner Sessions. Lastly, Skyy awarded Ms. Angela Cole, the International Club Adviser, for all her hard work for the club.
This term is something to look forward to for all club members.
