Health science careers workshop

Join us at St. Petersburg College’s health science careers exploration workshop on Feb. 15 and learn more about high-wage careers that help others.

Are you ready to join one of the hottest and most rewarding career fields? Or move up in your current career?

Jobs in health science careers are expected to grow 18 percent through 2026, adding about 2.4 million new jobs, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Healthcare occupations are projected to add more jobs than any of the other occupational groups.

Openings for registered nurses are expected to grow 15 percent, 23 percent for respiratory therapists, 20 percent for veterinary technicians and 31 percent for physical therapist assistants through 2026. And SPC can prepare you for all of these fields and more.

The Career Services Department at the St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus will host a Career Exploration Workshop for students majoring in health science or those considering the health science career field. This two-part workshop will feature an industry expert and Career Services staff members. The workshop will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, from 12:30 – 2pm the St. Petersburg/ Gibbs Campus in SA-135.
