School projects are more than just assignments to be submitted for grading and forgotten. They allow students to develop and refine skills that will help them succeed in the future. These accomplishments should be shared and celebrated. On December 3rd, 2015, this happened when 24 students from across the College of Health Sciences (Dental Hygiene AS and BAS, Health Services Administration, Health Information Technology) displayed their projects from their Capstone and Research courses. Tables were positioned throughout the SPC Health Education Center lobby where projects were displayed.

Attendees including other students, mentors, family members of the presenters, Advisory Committee members, and faculty were able to visit each table and discuss the projects. Students taking these classes in the future were able to learn from their peers, get project ideas, and potentially find mentors for the spring semester. In all, over 60 people came out to reflect, learn from, recognize and celebrate these accomplishments. Thanks to a Student Government Association grant that funded the event, the 24 participants were recognized with certificates and gift bags.
