Radiography Program Spring Class Picnic

Radiography program spring class picnic

Earlier this spring, SGA sponsored a class picnic for our current students, program faculty, program administrators, and several clinical instructors from our hospital and outpatient imaging centers.  The premise behind this picnic is to welcome our new cohort of first year students into the program.  Our traditional kickball game pitting the first year students vs. the second year students ended the day in dramatic fashion with the second year students pulling off a narrow victory.

Radiography Program Fall Class Picnic Follow-up

Once again, the class picnic was a huge success.  All of our current students and program faculty were in attendance.  Several of our clinical instructors and a handful of graduates were also able to join in on the festivities.  This celebration was in honor of our second year students as they matriculate into the workforce this December.  Congratulations to all of them.

The kickball game between the first and second year students was about as competitive and action packed as it has ever been.  Stephen Weber, adjunct instructor, booted a single in the bottom of the ninth inning to drive in the winning run for the second year students.  They will end their tenure as SPC radiography students in grand fashion with a walk-off victory in their final kickball game.

Radiography Program Fall Class Picnic

The Radiography Club will be hosting their fall class picnic at Pilippe Park in Safety Harbor on October 28th from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  We will be meeting in shelter #6 which is located adjacent to the ball field.  This event is sponsored by SGA so please come join us for a hamburger and an afternoon of fellowship as we celebrate the impending graduation of our second year students at the end of this semester.  The second year students will also be defending their previous victory over the first year students in a heated kickball game in the afternoon.
