What is a Learning Toolkit?
A Learning Toolkit (LT) is a compilation of concise lessons, interactive activities, and formative assessments that allow students to identify, remediate, and master competencies in order to fill gaps in their knowledge.
Why Learning Toolkits?
- They provide students have access to online supplemental instruction embedded in their courses.
- Content tailored to SPC student needs.
- Created by SPC faculty.
What courses will receive Toolkits?
20 of SPC’s courses with the highest enrollment yet lowest success rates have been chosen to receive Learning Toolkits (LTs), interactive, online resources for students. Four additional Toolkits focusing on barriers beyond the classroom will also be created. In total, 24 ALTS, 20 Academic LTs and 4 Student Success LTs, will be created over the next five years.
