{"id":5153,"date":"2025-11-07T13:29:23","date_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:29:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/technology-educational-information\/?p=5153"},"modified":"2025-11-07T13:29:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-07T18:29:28","slug":"cybersecurity-team-earns-third-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/technology-educational-information\/cybersecurity-team-earns-third-place\/","title":{"rendered":"SPC Team Earns 3rd Place in Cybersecurity Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">St. Petersburg College&#8217;s TitanSec team earned an impressive third place in the Florida Department of Education\u2019s third annual <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fldoe.org\/newsroom\/latest-news\/florida-department-of-education-announces-3rd-annual-florida-college-system-cybersecurity-competition-winners.stml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Florida College System (FCS) Cybersecurity Competition<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition brought together students from across Florida\u2019s 28 public colleges to test their expertise in a virtual cyber range, simulating real-world network defense challenges faced by industry professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SPC\u2019s TitanSec showcased exceptional technical skill, problem-solving and teamwork as they competed against other top-performing colleges.
