The ITIL recommended steps and processes are quite broad and are meant to apply to any organization that uses IT. ITIL covers five primary areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IT Service Strategy<\/li>\n<li>IT Service Design<\/li>\n<li>IT Service Transition<\/li>\n<li>IT Service Operation<\/li>\n<li>IT Continual Service Improvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are four levels of ITIL certifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Foundation<\/li>\n<li>Intermediate<\/li>\n<li>Expert<\/li>\n<li>Master<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The goal of ITIL Certification is to become familiar with best practices and options for dealing with the wide variety of IT situations encountered within organizations.
