This course is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of Information Systems (IS) as they apply to the computer industry. Topics will include Information Systems fundamentals; IS infrastructure; organizational and business strategies for Information Systems, Managing Information Systems; Information Systems for commerce and collaboration; business intelligence and Enterprise Information Systems; security, privacy and ethics for Information Systems. 47 contact hours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Chart-for-CGS-2651.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-443\" title=\"Chart for CGS 2651\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/information-technology\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Chart-for-CGS-2651.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"638\" height=\"41\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prerequisite: CGS 1100. This course is designed to teach students how to interact using shared collaboratively communication tools and resources. Students will learn how to identify and apply Web based social collaboration technologies for business and personal use.
