SPC’s\u00a0Tarpon Springs\u00a0Campus<\/a>\u00a0is pleased to announce a new one-week summer camp for kids – Make, Break, Tinker and Code<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Camp participants will work with SPC faculty to do physical computing, design devices, and learn coding using MicroBit and Arduino. The camp was founded with the support of\u00a0Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, The Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s\u00a0running this\u00a0summer camp?<\/h5>\n

Professor Michael Davis<\/a>, the Natural Science Academic Department Chair at the Tarpon Springs Campus, will be running the summer camp. With more than 15 years of service in the classroom and at least 20 years experience holding science outreach presentations, his passion for science has reached more than 100,000 children and parents.<\/p>\n

Summer camp details<\/h5>\n

Cost<\/strong>: $75
\nDates<\/strong>: June 18 – 22, 2018
\nAges<\/strong>: 10 – 12 years old
\nStart Time:<\/strong> 9 a.m. (Campers may be here no earlier than 8:30 a.m.)
\nEnd Time<\/strong>: 3 p.m. (Campers must be picked up no later than 3:30 p.m.)
\nLocation<\/strong>: Tarpon Springs Campus<\/a> – 600 E. Klosterman Rd Tarpon Springs, FL 34689
\nCampers will need to provide their own food\/snacks during the camp.<\/em><\/p>\n

If interested, please fill out this form<\/a>. When enrollment opens, a link to sign up will be sent out. Sign-up is expected to begin in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Please note that filling out the form is not a reservation and does not guarantee enrollment in the camp. At this time, organizers are trying to determine how to get information to those who are interested<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n
