{"id":3847,"date":"2017-08-14T16:18:07","date_gmt":"2017-08-14T16:18:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bloghostdev.spcollege.edu\/president\/?p=3847"},"modified":"2024-09-24T18:11:24","modified_gmt":"2024-09-24T22:11:24","slug":"dr-patrick-rinard-interim-vp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/president\/2017\/08\/14\/dr-patrick-rinard-interim-vp\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Patrick Rinard Selected as Interim SVP for Student Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am pleased to announce that Dr. Patrick Rinard has been selected to serve as the Interim Senior Vice President for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/current-students\/student-affairs\">Student Services<\/a> from August 14, 2017 through June 30, 2018.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3933\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3933\" style=\"width: 185px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3933\" src=\"https:\/\/bloghostdev.spcollege.edu\/president\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/08\/patrick-rinard.jpg\" alt=\"Interim Senior Vice President for Student Services Pat Rinard\" width=\"185\" height=\"278\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3933\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Interim Senior Vice President for Student Services Pat Rinard<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dr.\u00a0Rinard began his <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/president\/2023\/09\/18\/spc-celebrates-dedication-of-longtime-employees\/\">career at St. Petersburg College<\/a> in 1992 as an Admissions and Academic Advisor and has held a variety of positions from a Manager in Information Systems, to College Registrar, and Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services where he oversaw Admissions, Registration, College Placement Testing, Graduation\/Commencement, and systems testing for new development in SPC\u2019s Student Information System.<\/p>\n<p>Two years ago, he became a member of the Council of Campus Provosts and actively participates on the Provosts\/Deans Council and other college-wide councils and committees. He has community-based experience and leadership in higher education with the Council for Student Affairs.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rinard has achieved many milestones but is most proud of being a graduate of St. Petersburg Jr. College in 1983. Dr. Rinard earned a Doctorate in Higher Education from Barry University in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations Dr. Patrick Rinard!<\/p>\n<p><strong>About SPC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>St. Petersburg College<\/strong>\u00a0(SPC) was founded in 1927 as St. Petersburg Junior College, Florida&#8217;s first two-year college.
