\"d\"<\/a>Daytona State College is hosting a conference called “A New Look at the Old World” on Feb. 6, 2015! The conference will consist of sessions that include:<\/p>\n

– The Value of Languages and Intercultural Competence in the Global Workplace.<\/p>\n

– Elephant in the Classroom: New Perspectives on Teaching Islam and Europe<\/p>\n

– All that Jazz:\u00a0 Russia & the Cold War<\/p>\n

– The Conscious Rise of Social Protest Through Symbolism in ASL Poetry<\/p>\n

– Don’t Reinvent the Wheel!\u00a0 Use Your Language Textbook Creatively for a Student-Centered Classroom<\/p>\n

– Florida’s American Association of Teachers of French will hold a function along with this conference beginning Friday evening and continuing through Saturday.<\/p>\n

More information that you need to know:<\/p>\n

– To register, email: cornelr@daytonastate.edu<\/a> (Please put Feb. 6 Conference Registration in the subject line.)<\/p>\n

– We will have certificates of attendance, We will award CEU credits for secondary school teachers (new this year).<\/p>\n

– There is no cost.<\/b><\/p>\n

– We will serve breakfast (provided by DSC) and lunch (provided by Vista Higher Learning).<\/p>\n
