When I tell other people that I\u2019m going to study abroad in Costa Rica for two weeks, they usually ask if I\u2019m excited.\u00a0 The truth is no \u2013 at least not yet.\u00a0 I was really happy when I found out that I\u2019m going, but since then, my mind has been filled with thoughts of running errands and finishing up tasks.\u00a0 I am worried that if I allow myself to get too enthusiastic about the upcoming trip, I\u2019ll just ignore everything else in my life and only focus on preparing for those two weeks!<\/p>\n
I\u2019m trying to think far enough ahead that when I come back from Costa Rica, I will have a smooth transition into the fall semester.\u00a0 It would be too stressful to return home and face a bunch of issues that require immediate attention instead of getting to reflect, relax, and return to normal life.\u00a0 For now, I\u2019m going to concentrate on crossing off the rest of the items on my to-do list.\u00a0 By the time I\u2019m leaving Tampa, however, I shouldn\u2019t have any more worries concerning school or personal matters.\u00a0 (And that\u2019s good because it will be difficult to take care of anything happening at home when I\u2019m over a thousand miles away.)\u00a0 When I\u2019m on that flight, I\u2019ll finally let myself get excited.\u00a0 I\u2019ll anticipate the experiences I\u2019m going to have, the things I\u2019m going to learn, and the food I\u2019ll definitely enjoy. \u00a0=)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
