On Sunday, February 23, 2014, a group of international students and International Club members participated in a trip to the Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.\u00a0 It was a heartfelt learning experience for all. \u00a0Some of the international students did not know about the Holocaust and appreciated learning about what happened.<\/p>\n

This trip was a very educational experience not only for the students, but for others in the community as well, as it offered an opportunity to learn about World War II and Holocaust education in other countries. Here are some of the reactions the students had to their Holocaust Museum visit:\"holocaust<\/a><\/p>\n

Makara Thy (Cambodia) \u201cI didn\u2019t know about the Holocaust and was very sad about the stories that I learned during the trip.\u201d<\/p>\n

Roberta Spathari (Albania) \u201cThis experience was very educational.\u00a0 It was interesting to find out that Albania was the only country in Europe that had more Jewish people at the end of the war.\u00a0 I felt connected when I watched a short film at the museum because I am from Albania.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sane Haidara (Mali) \u201cIt was a life learning lesson. \u00a0I believe everyone should be accepted in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Camilli Christian (American) \u201cI was inspired by the bravery of the Jewish people and those who helped them.\u201d<\/p>\n
