We got to experience the Louvre for many many hours and it&#8217;s something that won&#8217;t be forgotten! Seeing all of these famous paintings and statues was very eye opening. Having (essentially) a personal tour guide helped a lot. Knowing now why the Mona Lisa is famous because of her smile and she was the first ever to be smiling in a portrait is awesome to see in person..and of course taking a &#8220;selfie&#8221; with Mona was pretty cool too.<br \/>\nAfter Louvre we walked to The Column of Napoleon. After his victory, he took 300 cannons, from his allies, melted them down and created a column with a statue of himself at the top. Curving around the column tells an exaggerated story. And because it was made out of cannons and not stone it is rusted and green.<br \/>\nAll in all, yesterday was an amazing day and I can&#8217;t wait for the rest of the trip!
