“Studying abroad with St. Petersburg College\u2019s International Program is one of the most amazing experiences I have had in my life. From the very first day, I was immersed in Spanish culture and language and became completely enamored by the welcoming presence that the people gave me. This made me feel more comfortable because I had little to no knowledge of the language I would have to learn. Living in Spain for three weeks gave me many opportunities to learn the language with not only my professors but with the family of my house and \u201cla gente de Salamanca\u201d (the people of Salamanca). Many mornings I would walk to a chocolateria<\/em> for tutoring with other students and learn so much by just ordering a cappuccino. The opportunities to learn and explore are provided in copious amounts on this trip.\"studying<\/a><\/p>\n

Traveling with other students gave me the confidence I never knew I had traveling abroad. One weekend we explored the top of Pe\u00f1a de Francia<\/em> and I swear I felt unstoppable. Walking about on one of Salamanca\u2019s pilgrimages with Marc Anthony\u2019s Vivir Me Vida <\/em>playing in the background energized us to enjoy the scenery and learn about the people who walked on the very spot hundreds of years ago.<\/p>\n

Attending a school in Spain made it so exciting to go to class every day. I enjoyed getting there early and speaking to students from all around the world that were there to learn. Our classes were always entertaining because our professors were always eager to teach us and give us many opportunities to converse in Spanish.\"studying<\/a><\/p>\n

I\u2019m amazed by the amount I was able to learn because of the environment I was in. Every new day was a clean slate that I was able to fill with new experiences \u201ccon mis compa\u00f1eros\u201d (with my fellow classmates). Every person, place, and moment on this trip meant so much to me so it is extremely difficult to explain at which point I was the most absorbed.
