\"\"<\/a>I feel the Spain study abroad program<\/a> will benefit me academically by being immersed in the Spanish culture.\u00a0 I believe it will provide a richer experience than a typical classroom setting because I will be able to explore, absorb and appreciate a language and culture that is new to me. \u00a0Being able to eat the food, listen to the music, see the architecture and museums enhances the learning experience exponentially. The most important of these experiences is connecting with the Spanish people.\u00a0 Having the opportunity to learn other cultures habits, ways and traditions can only serve to expand my way of thinking, therefore enriching me.\u00a0 That is true education. I think this form of learning can only<\/em> come from traveling and experiencing other nationalities.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>To me, this opportunity is very personal.\u00a0 I was born in Spain, but I haven\u2019t had the opportunity to return until now. I would like to see where I come from. When I am finished with this trip to Spain, I hope to be a changed person.\u00a0 A more well-rounded, empathetic, and diverse person. \u00a0I think that meeting and spending time with people from other cultures is vital to becoming that person.\u00a0 This experience will put me one step closer to finding my path in life as well as in my career.<\/p>\n

I want to become a better student and human being, I need to get uncomfortable.\u00a0 Along with learning a new language, my goal is to step out of my comfort zone by actively engaging in conversations and activities with the local community.\u00a0 My goal is to put aside my awkwardness or embarrassment and really experience Spain in a way that can\u2019t be had from only being in a classroom.\u00a0 I look forward to sharing my experience with friends and family and hope it will encourage them to expand their horizons.\u00a0 I hope that my experience will encourage other students to get out of their comfort zone and apply for the study abroad program.<\/p>\n
