\"IMG_4687\"<\/a>This is the beginning of week two in Espa\u00f1a for me. It’s been a little difficult adjusting to how different things are over here, but I absolutely love it. I’ve been sucking up the culture like a sponge and really enjoy sharing all of the amazing things I’ve learned with my family during my calls home.<\/p>\n

This program is absolutely incredible. I’ve explored medieval cities, taken selfies on top of a\u00a01st-century aqueduct, and eaten dinner in a cave. I feel like every day here brings me a new experience that most people wait their entire lives to have. My classes are challenging, but I appreciate a good challenge. This entire experience is way outside of my comfort zone, and I can literally feel my horizons expanding.<\/p>\n

While I miss my family at home immensely, I also love my family in Spain. My host mom, Azucena, is incredibly sweet and patient. I’ve learned so much from her! It is a lot like playing charades 24\/7, so we have a lot of fun and good laughs. I was surprised to learn that she doesn’t speak English, because she seems to always understand exactly what I’m trying to tell her, even though my Spanish is pretty bad.<\/p>\n

I’m so grateful to be experiencing all of these amazing things! I’ll try to continue to represent the US and SPC while I continue to study abroad in this incredible country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
