{"id":12462,"date":"2016-05-14T14:02:08","date_gmt":"2016-05-14T14:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/?p=12462"},"modified":"2024-01-30T10:41:30","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T15:41:30","slug":"rain-forest-meets-coastline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/rain-forest-meets-coastline\/","title":{"rendered":"Rain forest meets coastline #Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We left Cairns for a tour of the coastline of Northern Australia particularly where the Daintree rain forest meets the coast. \u00a0We were very fortunate to get George, an endogenous driver as our guide. \u00a0He added so much of his history to the tour and he was not shy in sharing! \u00a0We made our way from Cairns to Port Douglas to Daintree to Cape Tribulation. \u00a0The pictures here are of a tropical fern fiddle head just emerging, a tropical rain forest tree with an outstanding base and root system and our friend George in front of a picture of his grandfather with his brass chest plate on. \u00a0There is a cool story that goes with it.
