{"id":11650,"date":"2016-03-12T15:16:49","date_gmt":"2016-03-12T15:16:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/?p=11650"},"modified":"2024-01-30T10:35:59","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T15:35:59","slug":"study-abroad-bringing-life-lessons-learned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/study-abroad-bringing-life-lessons-learned\/","title":{"rendered":"A Study Abroad: A Bringing to Life of Lessons Learned"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/study-abroad-bringing-life-lessons-learned\/1510348_751832024835201_1102237316_n\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11655\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11655\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/03\/1510348_751832024835201_1102237316_n-169x300.jpg\" alt=\"1510348_751832024835201_1102237316_n\" width=\"169\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/03\/1510348_751832024835201_1102237316_n-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/03\/1510348_751832024835201_1102237316_n.jpg 540w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/><\/a>Having never traveled outside the United States, and seldom within the country itself, I\u2019ve found this study abroad experience to be all and more than I expected.\u00a0\u00a0 Without the experience of being abroad, I was first unsure of what I might find in a study abroad program.\u00a0 However, having completed eight days in my class\u2019s trip thus far, I am both overjoyed to have embarked upon this trip and learned of its teachings, yet am saddened that it will soon come to close.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had the fortune of being a part of Professor Wolter\u2019s course, with both the tutelage of him and our guide Ms. Verlin.<\/p>\n<p>It has been incredible to not only learn of such fascinating cultural and historical aspects over the ages, but see the remains and fruit of that history and culture before my own two eyes, in front of my own two feet.\u00a0 Being a student who wished he could see his class\u2019s teachings first hand, this trip has brought the experience and knowledge of lessons taught to life.\u00a0 I look forward to my last full day in Italy and hope to return the wonderful country again in the future, eager to learn all the more.<\/p>\n<p>Sincerely,<\/p>\n<p>Michael D.
