United Nations Academic Impact and ELS Inc. launched the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> annual \u201cMany Languages, One World\u201d essay contest.<\/p>\n<p>College and university students are invited to write an essay on a UN-related theme in an official UN language other than their mother tongue or primary language of instruction.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the contest is to raise awareness among students about the work of the UN, but more importantly to promote multilingualism as an integral part of global citizenship and peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/01\/2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-11068\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11068 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/01\/2-234x300.jpg\" alt=\"2\" width=\"281\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/01\/2-234x300.jpg 234w, https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/international\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/23\/2016\/01\/2.jpg 601w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 281px) 100vw, 281px\" \/><\/a>Sixty winners, ten for each official UN language, will be invited to spend a week in New York at an all expenses paid Global Youth Forum, culminating with an event in the UN General Assembly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Thursday, 31 March\u00a02016 AT 11:59 PM EST.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.els.edu\/en\/ManyLanguagesOneWorld\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">For more information please click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Share your ideas and be heard!
