\"globalfestival\"<\/a>Spread the word about the 2015 Global Citizen Festival, taking place on September 26th in New York City\u2019s Central Park.<\/p>\n

The main object? Strengthening the movement to end poverty. Guiding this movement are Global Goals set by the UN General Assembly in New York (with world leaders from 193 countries):<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. End extreme poverty by 2030<\/li>\n
  2. Fight inequalities<\/li>\n
  3. Tackle climate change.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Artists like Beyonc\u00e9, Pearl Jam, and Coldplay, among others, will perform during this festival to bring attention to these goals and to help achieve policy and financial commitments that will shape the success of the Global Goals.<\/p>\n

    We need your help to make sure these goals won\u2019t stay just political rhetoric, but will have real impact. The more famous these Global Goals are, and the more widely understood they are, the more politicians will take them seriously, finance them properly, refer to them frequently and feel the pressure to make them a reality.<\/p>\n

    This weekend, help #GlobalGoals trend on Twitter and spread the word to your family and friends. We\u2019re all a part of this movement together, and it\u2019s only together that we can achieve the Global Goals.<\/p>\n
