The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/ems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emergency Medical Services <\/a>department was in desperate need of updating to their classrooms, technology, and student learning environments. Sometimes funding can be an issue, or time, but not for EMS! Not only have they <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/ems-department-awarded-grant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently been awarded a nearly $50k grant<\/a> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.floridahealth.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida Department of Health<\/a> to purchase a manikin simulator, and also seen <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/ems-program-pass-rates-soar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pass rates soar for EMT students<\/a>, but now the classrooms have been revamped with the latest and greatest technology and furniture!<\/p>\n<p><strong>So it&#8217;s out with the old classroom tables&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/06\/1111.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-838 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/06\/1111-300x229-custom.jpg\" alt=\"old tables\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" \/><\/a><strong>And in with the new!<\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/06\/118.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/06\/118-300x229.jpg\" alt=\"118\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/06\/119.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-840 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2016\/06\/119-300x229.jpg\" alt=\"119\" width=\"300\" height=\"229\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\">New tables in EMS classrooms 118 &amp; 119<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Wait, there&#8217;s more!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We now have new flat screen TVs in the process of being installed in HEC classroom 119. When the installation is complete, these screens should interface with cameras mounted in the simbulance (ambulance simulator),\u00a0the computer displays in the room for lectures, and in addition, if EMS is able to secure a monitoring recording system from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kbport.com\/capture.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KbPort<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caehealthcare.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CAE Healthcare<\/a>, this will display readouts of simulations from the manikins and student interactions. This will be very useful for debriefing and\/or classroom demonstrations.
