The St. Petersburg College (SPC) Respiratory Care program, like many programs at SPC, has an active and involved student club. \u00a0Several months ago the students in this club elected to pursue a membership charter into the Lambda Beta Society, which is the national honor society for the profession of Respiratory Care.<\/p>\n
The program has just been notified that they have been accepted into this honor society, and has been issued a chapter charter.<\/p>\n
This acceptance will better able the program to achieve the purposes of this organization, which are to “promote, recognize, and honor superior scholarship, promote achievement of high scholarly standards… through the encouragement of membership and graduation with honors, and support the professional growth and leadership development…”<\/p>\n
