{"id":4500,"date":"2020-07-10T14:24:28","date_gmt":"2020-07-10T18:24:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health-sciences-nursing-veterinary-technology-educational-information\/?p=4500"},"modified":"2025-11-13T20:28:53","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T01:28:53","slug":"respiratory-care-program-honored","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/health-sciences-nursing-veterinary-technology-educational-information\/respiratory-care-program-honored\/","title":{"rendered":"Respiratory Care receives CoARC award"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The St. Petersburg College (SPC) Respiratory Care program was recently notified that it is \u201camong a select group of programs that will be recognized by the <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coarc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care<\/a><\/strong> (CoARC) to receive the Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award.\u201d This is the sixth consecutive year the program has received this award,\u00a0 making SPC one of a small percentage of respiratory care educational programs in the nation to meet these criteria so consistently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This award is based on the program\u2019s record of graduate success on the discipline\u2019s credentialing exam, student success, retention, and on-time graduation rates, and graduate and employer satisfaction with the program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SPC offers a very well established and highly successful\u00a0Respiratory Therapist (RT) program, having produced highly qualified Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) since 1971.
