Clinical simulations are practical learning experiences designed to give students exposure to a comprehensive range of clinical scenarios that may be encountered in the workplace. The debriefing is usually a type of reflective learning exercise in which students review their own performance and consider how nursing theory is actually applied to nursing practice, then receive feedback from an instructor ((Aebersold &amp; Tschannen, 2013)<\/p>\n<p>On June 6, 2017, Dr. Wallace, Mrs. Castillo and Lisa Crumbley created a thermal Burn Simulation Scenario for 21 Level 3 Nursing students. The students were placed in groups of 3 and were given nursing roles (primary nurse, medication nurse and student nurse). The students were to apply the nursing practices they learned in Theory class to this patient that arrived in the ER after a Meth Lab explosion.
