This year\u2019s event was \u201cBest Practices for Communicating with Students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Instructional Technology Specialist Alan Shapiro and Instructional Technology Manager\u00a0 Michelle Piper from SPC\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/ols.spcollege.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Online Learning and Services<\/a> presented several methods by which faculty can engage students by using the available communication resources within <a href=\"https:\/\/mycourses.spcollege.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MyCourses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5>MyCourses tips for faculty<\/h5>\n<p>Faculty learned how to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>use Intelligent Agent which is an automated reminder<\/li>\n<li>how to send video messages to their students<\/li>\n<li>how to design effective announcements on their course home page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nursing faculty were excited to learn about these available features in MyCourses.
