The Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) conference was held in Tampa June 3-6, 2016. \u00a0This annual conference was a great opportunity for SPC students to network and be exposed to a wide variety of career opportunities within the biomedical engineering technology (BMET) and health care technology management (HTM) professions.<\/p>\n

Students interacted with future employers, learned from industry experts and learned how to interact with professionals within the BMET and HTM professions.<\/p>\n

SPC adjunct professor receives biomedical engineering technology honor<\/h5>\n

At the conference, SPC BMET students also had the chance to congratulate one of their professors, Carlos Villafane, who\u00a0received the AAMI BMET of the Year Award. Villafane is able to share his experience and expertise from working for BayCare Health\u00a0System with SPC’s BMET students as an adjunct.<\/p>\n
