Her are some basic guidelines for you to follow to help you get the most out of your supervised training:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student teachers should act accordingly, as you are a guest in the supervising teacher\u2019s classroom.<\/li>\n<li>Having a positive attitude will\u00a0make a difference to all you are in contact\u00a0with &#8211; students, other teachers, administration and parents.<\/li>\n<li>Student teachers should observe the cooperating teacher \u2013 remember that you will never know everything, \u00a0and if you don\u2019t understand something, ask for an explanation.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-Service teachers are professionals \u2013 in punctuality, in your choice of attire, your demeanor &#8211; schools are typically conservative.<\/li>\n<li>Watch what you say and to whom\u2013 be respectful, and don\u2019t gossip.<\/li>\n<li>Students please plan ahead and be prepared. You can\u2019t be too prepared, so have a \u201cPlan B\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Every day may not be \u201cideal\u201d. \u00a0Preservice teachers will learn and grow from <em>ALL<\/em> of their experiences, good and the ones that \u201cnever seem to end\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Teaching can be the most rewarding and most challenging career around, and\u00a0its tough work.<\/li>\n<li>Not only do the classroom students need to listen, so do you. Always try your best to develop a good relationship with your cooperating teachers, other instructors, parents, students and staff.<\/li>\n<li>If you goof, which everyone does, apologize quickly \u2013 everyone has a bad day and makes mistakes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>COE Instructors Give Their Most Important Tips<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/10\/JLechnerSPC_photo_sml.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-660 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2016\/10\/JLechnerSPC_photo_sml.jpg\" alt=\"jlechnerspc_photo_sml\" width=\"156\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>&#8220;Learn to be a sponge\u00a0and observe as many teachers that you\u00a0are able. Take note of\u00a0quality teaching techniques and skills to adopt for your own classroom.
