His goal is to increase students\u2019 reading proficiency, comprehension, and fluency.\u00a0 He uses Whole Group Instruction before breaking off into small groups of students &#8212; working on the Computer Stations, receiving Small Group Instruction, and encourages Independent Reading.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ffmt.org\/\">Florida Fund for Minority Teacher (FFMT) Scholarship<\/a> provided Matthew with a terrific funding source while at SPC.\u00a0 If eligible, full time prospective educators can receive up to $4000 per year. Matthew utilized this scholarship.\u00a0 *More info below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Council for Exceptional Children awarded <strong>Jenni Herman<\/strong>, <strong>Inclusion Teacher of the <\/strong><strong>Year, Pinellas Central Elementary<\/strong>.\u00a0 Jenni was also named the <em>Outstanding Educator Fan Favorite Award<\/em>.
