The Writer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deep concentration pulls words from thin air,<\/p>\n

arm connecting thoughts with actions,<\/p>\n

forming something\u00a0once not there<\/p>\n

gripping firmly the object of translation.<\/p>\n

Ink seeps into\u00a0a<\/span>\u00a0pure sheet of white<\/p>\n

as poisonous onyx blots out innocence.<\/p>\n

Insidious darkness snuffs out light,<\/p>\n

dutifully creating swirls of lace.<\/p>\n

Discombobulate<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fluid motion, sharpest knife,<\/p>\n

flames of heat, frigid ice.<\/p>\n

Eremitic dignity. hard as stone,<\/p>\n

wild dogs growl over bones.<\/p>\n

Vipers lash those nearby,<\/p>\n

glass shatters, shards fly.<\/p>\n

Remorse lingers, cloying scent,<\/p>\n

price of wisdom gained and pride bent.<\/p>\n

Hannah Foster<\/strong>\u00a0is a full-time student at St. Petersburg Honors College and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.\u00a0 She has been involved in many different extracurricular activities, including gymnastics (11 years), dance (8 years), piano (10 years), modeling and acting (11 years), art (painting, sketching, photography and other mediums), and other activities.\u00a0 Some of her past-times include reading British royal history, writing, and cooking.\u00a0 Hannah has designed her own creative line of jewelry, including her signature Origami Earrings. A portion of her sales is given to help build wells in Asia.<\/em><\/p>\n
