Do you enjoy poetry? Are you looking for a fun autumn activity? Then please join us at the Allstate Center Library<\/a> for our first poetry night!<\/p>\n

Renowned poet James E. Tokley will be reading from a selection of his work on Nov. 18\u00a0from 6 – 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. Please bring your friends and family, and help us spread the word.<\/p>\n

About the poet<\/strong><\/p>\n

James E. Tokley is the first official poet laureate for both the city of Tampa and Hillsborough County. His work has been showcased as part of the White House Millennium exhibit, etched above the Hillsborough County Courthouse, performed along with the Florida Symphony Orchestra and selected as the inaugural poems for mayors and governors. We are thrilled to have him join us at the Allstate Library\u00a0in November\u00a0when he will be reading from a selection of his work.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are very honored and excited to have James Tokley on our campus for our first poetry night,\u201d says Dr. Scott Fronrath, provost at the Allstate Center. \u201cHis ability to bring to life poetic words in a profound way is a real experience that our students will enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n
