Laura Malave<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Laura Malave is the Academic Chair of SPC\u2019s College of Computer and Information Technology, where, in addition to her duties as Chair, she also teaches courses. In addition to her regular duties, Malave offers a great deal of her time to volunteering in the community. Two of her biggest passions are cybersecurity and accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Community<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Malave has been an active member of (ISC)2\nTampa Bay, an organization of internet security professionals, for more than\nfive years, and volunteered at their BSides security conferences and served as\nthe Accessibility Committee chairperson. She also serves as the founding\nfaculty advisor for SPC\u2019s Cybersecurity Club, which is active locally and\nengaged in collaborative projects and volunteering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malave earned a PhD in Computer\nScience and Engineering, as well as master\u2019s and bachelor\u2019s degrees in Computer\nScience from the University of South Florida. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
