St. Petersburg College will host a hiring event with Frontier Communications<\/a> at the St. Petersburg\/Gibbs Campus on Jan. 12 and 13.<\/p>\n

The Frontier hiring event is from\u00a0noon-2:30 p.m. and 4-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, and Wednesday, Jan. 13, on the St. Petersburg\/Gibbs Campus<\/a>, Room SA-114, 6605 Fifth Ave. N. It is open to the public.<\/p>\n

After acquiring cable and internet services from Verizon in Florida earlier this year, Frontier is looking to hire 200 people<\/strong> in network engineering and customer support areas from the Tampa Bay area. About a dozen hiring managers will be on site. Employees are sought for the following positions: Network Operations Center Managers, Supervisors and Team Leads – Call Center and Network Operations Specialists \u2013Network Maintenance Administrators – Center Operations Technicians – Circuit Design\/Layer 1 Provisioning – VoIP Network Engineers and IVR Programmers – Testers and Test Supervisors for DS0, DS1, DS3, Ethernet and 911 – Switch Translations Implementation\/Support Specialists <\/strong><\/p>\n
