There is no reason to be ill-prepared. Asking a strong question showing your knowledge of the business and care for the position will leave a lasting impression even after you\u2019ve walked out the door. In addition to making your mark, questions can provide you with great information about the employer, role, and industry.<\/p>\n<p>Now, just to begin, this is NOT the opportunity to ask about salary or benefits or sick time. Are those things important? Yes. Of course they are! However, in the interview stage, you want to convey to the employer that you\u2019re excited about WORKING THERE, not how much time you get paid to not work. Once the offer comes in you have much more leverage to discuss salary anyway.<\/p>\n<p>So, if not about money or time, what do you ask about? Well, working there.<\/p>\n<p>1) <strong>Do<\/strong> research about the company. Asking about shifts in the industry or recent news articles about that company or product show that you\u2019re savvy in the business.<\/p>\n<p>2) <strong>Ask<\/strong> about the employees. Asking about the atmosphere shows that you are a team player and looking to get along.<\/p>\n<p>3) <strong>Ask<\/strong> about the position.
