The event consisted of several stations that assisted students with dressing for success, creating a resume, interview tips, and personal hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cFirst Impressions\u201d event was a huge success with over 70 students participating in the career building event. Students comments included <em>\u201cthis is great\u201d<\/em>,<em> \u201cI learned so much\u201d<\/em>, and <em>\u201cthanks for helping us make a good first impression.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Thank you to the business community in assisting us in making this event a success:<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Target<\/strong> \u2013 Emily Yount (on-site and gift cards)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Walmart<\/strong> \u2013 Carl Johnson (gift cards), Kevin Castine (on-site and gift cards), and Jay Kerric (on-site)<\/p>\n<p><strong>All About You Dentistry<\/strong> \u2013 Dr. Heather Yates (toothbrushes and toothpaste) and Gabby<\/p>\n<p><strong>Steinmart<\/strong> \u2013 Megan Webber (on-site and products)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mary Kay<\/strong> \u2013 Sandy Nobel and Cheryl (gift bag for drawing)<\/p>\n<p><strong>James Gonyea<\/strong> \u2013 Gonyea &amp; Associates<\/p>\n<p><em>Special thanks to our SPC family who came out to support this effort:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>SPC Dental Hygiene Program<\/strong> \u2013 SPC students Hillary O\u2019Konski and Valerie Montellano (toothpaste, toothbrushes and floss)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Olliver and Micah Andrade<\/strong> \u2013 How to tie-a-tie<\/p>\n<p><strong>Darryl Henderson<\/strong> \u2013 Dress For Success (men)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kelley Ferranti and Larry Goldsmith<\/strong> \u2013 Resume review and interview tips<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sandy DeCarlo <\/strong>\u2013 Seminole Campus AS Degree programs<\/p>\n<p><strong>Susan Biszewski-Eber, Jacob Wortock, and Rolando Mederos<\/strong> \u2013 SPC Internship Office<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss our next Seminole Campus event: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/careerevents\/#tab=2\">How to Apply for the Future When I Have a Past<\/a>. This event is open to all students who have or know someone who has a past that might get in the way of employment. This event will take place Tuesday, March 25th from 12:30 \u2013 2pm in UP303.
