I wanted to attend the University of Florida, but since I am not an excellent test taker I knew that I had to find a different way to get accepted to UF. The academic advisors that met with me were able to give me a great game plan to be able to pave my way to the University of Florida.<\/p>\n<p><em>From your personal experience why is it important to get an Internship? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Once I started at the University of Florida I realized I had to find a way to set myself apart from other job applicants when the time came for me to start applying for jobs. The way I would do that? Experience. The way I would gain experience? Internships.<\/p>\n<p><em>How did Internships help you? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>I found various internships and loved that I could intern with a company or brand and have it be almost a trial and error situation where if I didn\u2019t like what I was doing it was just letting me know that may not be the right career path for me. There was one internship in particular taught me all about social media and internet marketing and I realized that career path was the one for me!<\/p>\n<p><em>How did you begin working at Chick-fil-A Fourth Street?\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I ended up consulting marketing and social media for small businesses right out of college and paths crossed with the owner of Chick-fil-A Fourth Street, David Neely. I realized that he had a need for my services and in the summer of 2011 I started working for him as a contractor.<br \/>\n<em><br \/>\nHow long have you worked at Chick-fil-A Fourth Street? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>A little over two and a half years. I am now full-time in marketing with Chick-fil-A Fourth Street. I love being able to serve the St. Petersburg community through our restaurant. I wouldn\u2019t have it any other way!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Chick-fil-A Lunch and Learn<br \/>\nDowntown, February 12th<br \/>\n12-2 pm in DC-210<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><br \/>\nMeet the Director of Marketing and Training and Development for Chick-fil-A Fourth Street.
