This\u00a0 contests pits students and their business ideas head-to-head\u00a0 in showdown for big prizes!<\/p>\n<p>The competition takes place at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/friends-partners\/about\/locations\/seminole-campus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus<\/a> Thursday,\u00a0 April 19, from 6-8 p.m. in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/SPC+-+Seminole+Campus\/@27.8577462,-82.799587,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x88c2fbb8cea5ef8b:0xac4c34d7f528dbfc!8m2!3d27.8577462!4d-82.7973983\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University Partnership Building<\/a> inside the Digitorium.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDifferent companies have been waiting for this event!\u201d said Pamela Levering, Entrepreneurship Support Specialist at SPC.<\/p>\n<h5>How the contest works<\/h5>\n<p>Putting their ideas to work and brains to the ultimate test, students will gather in front of four judges. Each judge has their own experience in business and how one should be run. They&#8217;ll put students on the spot and dig into their business plans to find out what they&#8217;re all about.<\/p>\n<p>Sounds familiar right? The competition is patterned after the hit TV show \u201cShark Tank\u201d but\u00a0 features the college&#8217;s own talented student Titans!<\/p>\n<p>The event is open to the public.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/web.spcollege.edu\/survey\/24607\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">An RSVP<\/a> is appreciated. He is now co-founder of the company he presented last year and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spcollege.edu\/future-students\/why-spc\/flexible-options-for-you\/online-programs-at-spc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an online student at SPC<\/a>. The company, <a href=\"http:\/\/coastalgrownfarms.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Coastal Grown Farms<\/a>, provides hydroponically grown fruits and vegetables. With his work, William hopes to solve many of the problems that farmers in today&#8217;s fast-paced society are facing.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.spcollege.edu\/business-educational-information\/future-entrepreneurs-compete\/\">Elevator Pitch Competition AND the People\u2019s Choice Award<\/a> was Erica Sager. Her heartfelt business proposal moved everyone in the audience. Her business is called Color of the Case. She put her artistic capabilities to the test\u00a0by decorating phone cases and selling them to support a worthy cause. She wanted more than anything to be prepared for this event and practiced every single night with her family.<\/p>\n<h5>Thank you<\/h5>\n<p>None of these competitions are possible without the St. Petersburg College Seminole Campus CEO\u00a0Club, business faculty, support staff and <a href=\"https:\/\/go.spcollege.edu\/cec\/competition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sponsors<\/a>.
