The lives of SPC’s College of Veterinary Technology housed animals were enhanced this week through an elementary school’s community service program and a young person with a heart for animals.

Owen McBride’s third grade class was asked to select and complete a community service project. Owen loves animals and chose his project to benefit SPC’s Veterinary Technology Center. He collected blankets, towels, and toys from neighbors, friends and family, and he purchased treats and toys with funds he raised. Owen, who is the son of Jennifer McBride, Associate Director, Accreditation & Assessment – Institutional Research & Effectiveness, delivered his collected goodies this week with the assistance of his twin sister Maddie.
