At Tuesday’s Board meeting, Executive Director of Collaborative Labs and Workforce Institute Andrea Henning announced a recent partnership with PowerTown Line Construction that will offer training to become an Electrical Lineworker through the Workforce Institute.
VP of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director Foundation Jesse Turtle presented an update on the SPC Foundation. The presentation included the efforts to create a culture of philanthropy, completing 77 percent of the fundraising goal for the 2019-2020 fiscal year and the Titan Fund matching challenge.
Associate VP of Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Affairs Dr. Sabrina Crawford presented the strategic plan dashboard, a new monthly report that tracks the college’s overall strategic plan. The dashboard data included updates on recruitment, retention, employee engagement, learning experience and resource alignment. The overall goal to increase student success rates to 80.8 percent by 2021-22. Success rates are currently at 79.2 percent.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting:
- Bonnie Kessler, Associate Professor of Psychology and Advisor to the Eta Nu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, presented on the organization.
- The St. Petersburg Collegiate High School governing board meeting convened immediately afterward. Dr. Raquel Giles and Dr. Ian Call presented an update.
