Event Planning team supports Ronald McDonald House

The Event Planning Team wrapped up an amazing community service project benefitting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in St. Petersburg. It was the College’s first POP Tab Challenge, which ran from July 15 through July 29.

“The successful affair could not have occurred without the unhesitating cooperation of staff and faculty members across all EPI locations,” Yalonda Tearett, Event Planning and Volunteer Services Coordinator said. “It was truly awesome to witness the outpouring support of my fellow College family members!”

EPI-Tech was declared as the official winner, with an astounding contribution of 17,984 pop tabs. The Event Planning team threw them a Poppin’ Popcorn Party on August 23, with special toppings and warm smiles! Many thanks to all participants for your gracious donations.

The Event Planning Team collected, tallied and surrendered all pop tabs to a nearby recycling center and generated a generous check. The funds and donated items, accepted by Ronald McDonald with welcoming arms, will aid their mission in offering a home environment that provides support and resources that help keep families together while loved ones recover.
