LRMA welcomes new director

Dr. Teresa Wilkins has accepted the position to serve as Director of our Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art (LRMA), effective April 15, 2019.

Dr. Wilkins comes to St. Petersburg College (SPC) with over 12 years of museum and university experience. She has held the positions of Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager for the Tampa Museum of Art, Membership Manager at the Museum of Fine Art in St. Petersburg, Exhibits Coordinator at the Ah Tah Thi Ki Museum in Clewiston, and Assistant Curator at the Indiana University Museum of Art.

She earned her Ph.D. from Indiana University (Bloomington) in Art History and Anthropology, Master’s in Art History and Anthropology from the University of Hawaii (Manoa), and Bachelor’s in Art History from the University of South Florida.

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Wilkins to the Tarpon Springs campus LRMA team! A special thank you to the review and selection committee who included an Academic Dean, Provost, Faculty, Academic Chair, and LRMA Board Member. The committee worked very hard to make this selection.

Lastly, we are currently working on a “Meet our LRMA Director” event for all Board Members, Docents, and College Staff.
